“I believe that by talking with children about the idea of interconnectedness, they can discover that the good we do for the world we also do for ourselves. The threads that connect us to each other create the large tapestry of life. By seeing the connection we have to everything and everyone, we widen our compassion, creating a more loving and peaceful planet,” says Skyberg.
The release party will take place at the Arts@Large gallery, located at 908 S. 5th Street, Milwaukee, WI from 4-6pm, where the artwork Andrea created for the book is the feature of a solo art exhibition. Threads That Connect: Fiber Art & Community, showcases all of the artwork from Squircle, which was created in collaboration with five Wisconsin schools, and runs through January 4th.
